Amos 3:3 Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?
👑How can we say we walk with God and not agree on where we are going?
🤭We show that we do not agree when we:
👎Walk the other way, opposite of what His Word encourages us to do.
😠When we want, what we want, when we want it, without care to God or anyone else, for that matter.
😡When we think negative, evil, unkind thoughts of another.
👹When we let sin get the best of us; pride, jealousy, disappointment, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, adultery... all the negative and heavy emotions that keep us captive in torment.
🎤When we gossip rather than pray.
💩When we talk about our dislike of another, lie and twist a story to make ourselves look like the victim, and do not take ownership that maybe it was our fault.
🙏When we sin and do not confess it.
🏃♀️When we are too busy to study to show ourselves approved in the Scriptures, to pray, to be still with Him.
👂When we are not abiding close enough to hear His still, small voice guiding us.
🔘These are just a few points that may help us to see we may not be walking as closely to God as we like to think we are.
❓What does that mean?
💗God still loves you no matter what. But your relationship with Him will be strained. Just like any other relationship, there will be a divided heart.
👨⚖️We either submit ourselves to His authority, obey His principles, and carry them out, or not.
🗣We should confess, ask for forgiveness, cleanse your heart with God and man if possible.
⚖️You still think something is unfair? Talk to God. Ask Him what He wants YOU to learn from this. Unfair is a platform for growth and awareness! Take advantage of it.
🎯Where do we show our loyalty? To the God of the Universe or to ourselves?
🏆This challenging verse can be used to evaluate all relationships. However, your relationship with God is of the most importance. It just may be possible that once we prioritize walking in agreement with God, aligning ourselves to HIS principles that we come to find the ability to walk in agreement with others as well.
